FIRST HALF
3 mins: New signning Azrin tries to take on the defence line and he beats one, beats two and tries to nutmeg the centre back but the defender was quick to parry the ball away for a corner.
7mins: A punt from Keeper Bryan saw the ball go behind the defence line and nearly putting Azrin on goal. Quick thinking by the centre back to head the ball back to the keeper for safety.
16mins: Corner by VS saw some scrappy defending by ACJC and an overhead kick by the VS no.3 force keeper Bryan to execute a top class save with his right hand.Fast reflexes there!
22mins: Corner for ACJC and Clarence steps up to take it. Thinking that he could bend it like Beckham, he tried to curl it but the ball curled way above the bar! Clearly he only managed to bend it like Sio Beng...sigh..
25mins: Lobbing through ball by Eugene nearly picked our golden boy Keng Yi out but fast reaction by the keeper kept the ball out of play.
29mins: Corner for ACJC and once again Clarence steps up.Nothing much said......
34mins: A far post corner for VS found a VS midfielder who found the bruce lee in him and decided to execute a shaolin-style volley but unfortunately failed epicly. Wonder who his master was...
GOAL FOR VS! Sharp ball played into the 6 yard line from a corner and an on-rushing VS no.3 headed the ball home to take the lead for VS! Bryan tried to save it but the ball was too fast too furious. ACJC 0 - VS 1
36mins: GOAL FOR ACJC! Good interplay in the centre of the park between Eugene and Azrin saw Azrin through on goal and cleverly looping the ball over the keeper to claim his first goal for ACJC, sending the fans into a frenzy! ACJC 1 - VS 1
38mins: Corner for VS and the left wing back from VS seems to be having a good day! With a sweet right foot, sends a sharp ball into the six yard box which was attacked by 2 VS players but ACJC was lucky to have escaped a goal. Clarence got a kick to the crotch following the clearance! WHAT A PLAYER!
40mins: Another exquisite skill from Azrin and some impressive one-twos with Eugene nearly gave ACJC the lead. A faster through ball by Eugene would have done the job.

SECOND HALF
48mins: A lightning run by the VS left wing made Reuben chase his tail and looks like he was going to score but a last ditch challenge by Marc cleared the ball off the line.
50mins: GOAL FOR VS! A mistake by Alvey from a goalkick allowed VS to capitalise and take the lead once again the game ACJC 1 - VS 2
54mins: Corner for VS and the same green puma wing back steps up to take it, sending in a sweet sharp ball. Primary school defending by ACJC saw the ball scrambling in the box. Lucky clearance by Marc allowed the ACJC fans to heave a sigh of relief.PHEW!
60mins: Freekick from the ACJC half by Darwish found an Matthew on the far left. Matthew decided to take the ball first time and tried to head it goalwards but was unlucky as the ball was just a whisker away!
65mins: Freekick for VS at the tip of the ACJC box. VS no. 10 steps up and tried to replicate David Villa of Barca. He sent a curling ball to the top corner and seems as though he successfully converted the freekick but the crossbar denied him of a chance to replicate his idol.
70mins: Curling freekick into the box by Clarence was a good ball for the first time in the game! Our very own blonde no.10 Keng Yi was at the end of it to try to head it but it was way over the bar. The golden hair could have possibly been the cause of that mistake..
74mins: Captain Jarrell played a cross field ball that found our summer signing Matthew. Matthew realise a Ronaldo in him and tried to fake the defender with a step-over and was lucky to not get tackled. He beats one and tried to curl the ball to the bottom right corner but good positioning by the VS keeper allowed him to safely claim the ball.
76mins: Good interpassing along the midfield line ended with a lightning volley from Eugene which saw the in-form VS keeper pulling off a top right hand corner save, further frustrating the ACJC team.
79mins: GOAL FOR ACJC! In the dying mins of the game, Alvey initiated a fast counter by throwing the ball to our captain Jarrell who squares the ball to Matthew. Quick thinking by Matthew to find Eugene who became ambitious and decided to take on 3 defenders. He beats all three with some fakes and step overs and cuts in to finish with a sweet right food!

Not our usual self but a great game still considering that we were able to fight back twice! Heads up! Don't be disheartened! We are a team in progress! We will grow as we play more matches! Keep ur heads up :)
