ACJC vs Home United (U-16)

Commentary:

FIRST HALF
5: An early domination by Acjc, slowly advancing up the pitch through kick outs by the opponents.
9: A deflected ball is put out for a corner. It is swung in and met by the head of Jacob only to be nodded into the hands of the keeper. Things are shaping up nicely for Acjc here!
18: Both teams constantly pushing their attacks down the left flank. Coincidence? I think not!
22: Ball lazily moved in front of goal from Eugene to Irufan but is quickly intercepted by the keeper.
25: Matthew gets a beautiful floater from Jacob which sets him up nicely on goal, but the ref calls it offside.
27: Drop-kick from goal and the ball floats via 2 heads and an Irufan right leg into the path of Eugene who monsterously lace-whips the shot just over the crossbar. What an effort!
29: Home U with their quick passing manage to get the ball into a great position for a cross before the face of goal but the striker is just not vertically gifted enough to complete the play. A shame.
31: Lazy ball played down the left flank by the away side and the opportunistic Shaun swoops in to put out the danger.
34: A heavy touch on the counter sees Matthew get dispossessed by the defending side and the ball is impatiently crossed in for their attackers, only to find each and every single one of the three boys to be in an awkwardly offside position.
37: Jacob rounds one and beats another but the ball is just wide off the near post.
42: Jacob puts a wonderful cross in but Ien is unable to take it first time and skies it. Must be kicking himself right about now.
44: GOAL! A mashup just before the penalty box results in Ien coming away with the ball and coolly slotting it past the keeper into the far side of the goal. 1-0 ACJC. #ACBOLEH

SECOND HALF
45: Kengyi on the ill-stricken Jacob.
50: Aqil plays a through ball but is just too long for Ien which the Home U keeper claims.
54: A corner for Home U leads to a frantic scramble in the box but luckily goes out for another corner.
58: Clarence gets a yellow for an attempt on the short midfielder. A dangerous position for a free kick.
60: Eugene and Neo-neo go on for Kengyi and Ryan.
65: Eugene gets the ball away from the panicking centre back and attempts to finish it with his outside off, narrowly missing the target.
72: Acjc break with the ball in the centre of the part and is played to Aqil just on the right, but his shot is easily stopped by the keeper.
73: Aqil is fouled and Clare goes and argues with the ref, only to get owned.
74: CRAMP! Aqil is down and out and Darren is introduced with many positions shifts on-field following.
80: Matthew off for Kengyi.
85: An attempt on goal is punched out into the centre of the field by Bryan and the Home U player takes in on the volley with Acjc failing to close him down quick enough and it hits the back of the net. 1-1
90: The final whistle is blown and the score is even.
