Friendly Match: ACS(I) 1-4 ACJC

Pre Match:
A  derby match with our ACS neighbour in Dover.Clear skies and a sunny day,perfect for a game of football.

Match Summary:
ACJC did not have the best start to the game, conceding a goal early on in the first half.It only became a good team performance towards the middle of the first half where the team started to get on the ball and played their game.The team and even the Sec 4's, displayed strong character with their never say die attitude and managed to claw one goal back before the end of the first half,bringing the score to 1-1.ACJC came back on in the second half more determined and focused,managing to hit the back of the net 3 times to bring the score to 4-1 in favour of ACJC. 

Overall, ACJC's defence was resilient and had managed to nullify the opposition's attack, conceding very few shots during the game.In attack, the attackers created numerous chances and managed to score 4 goals although they could have scored more.Overall,a good team performance.

Team Ratings:
Avril
Attack:8  Defence:6  Character:7  
Avril took one for the team by becoming goalkeeper for a large part of the first half.He was unlucky in conceding the goal but made a great impact when moved to the left wing.He linked up well and played an active role in the team's first goal and scored the forth goal for ACJC as well.He had been a constant threat down the left flank whenever he was on the ball.He has started to make more off the ball runs now.

Marcus
Attack:5  Defence:7  Character: 7 
Marcus had an up and down game in defence.He looked unsure on the ball at times and lost possession on a few occasions.However, he has done well to manage ACS(I)'s right wing besides being left grounded in the lead up to ACS(I)'s goal.In attack,he made a few passes to start attacks and gave a few good long balls.More can be expected from him.

Farhan
Attack:5  Defence:9  Character:7  
Farhan is an exceptional leader and did well to keep the team's morale high despite falling behind to the first goal.He was rock solid at the back and won almost all of the challenges he made.Although his communication with the midfield could be improved, he has done well in organizing and marshalling the defence.

Vignesh
Attack:6  Defence:5  Character:7  
Vignesh has tried to be more adventurous in attack at the right wing.However,his decision making and positioning can be better.He also needs to grow physically.He does track back to help in defence and played a fine game as goalkeeper replacing Avril.There were some instances of hesitation while playing as keeper but nonetheless,kept a clean sheet. 

Jerrick
Attack:8  Defence:8  Character:8  
Jerrick did well to command the midfield where he went in hard and won most of the 50-50 balls.He played some excellent balls including the one leading up to Boris' goal.He has been a good motivation to other players on the pitch guiding them patiently.

Shafiq
Attack:6  Defence:7  Character:7  
Shafiq did his job in center midfield but was occasionally hesitant and pulled out of some 50-50 challenges.He did well aerially,winning most of the first balls.Some of his long penetrative passes were good ideas but the execution was just lacking.Commendable character shown be Shafiq as he was disciplined and did not give a bad sliding tackle.

David
Attack:4  Defence:3  Character:6  
David came on as a sub and did little to impact the game.He gave away numerous balls and he was too committed into challenges at the wrong time but more can be expected of him.

Boris
Attack:9  Defence:5  Character:8  
Boris has done well to score a goal and set up two more.He made good runs off the ball and kept possession well.Boris also won the ball on numerous occasions in the opponent's third with his pressure.Did not do much in defence as his defence was pressing the ACS(I)'s defenders.

Ge Liang
Attack:7  Defence:5  Character:7  
Done well to win the penalty and converted it calmy.He made a few good through passes and the opponents were beaten by his trickery.However,he could have taken better shots and delivered earlier crosses.

Benjamin
Attack:7  Defence:5  Character:7  
Benjamin had done superbly well to score ACJC's first goal and won several aerial duels that created clear cut chances.Generally quiet but when called into action,he used his body to his advantage.
